Cal.com AI phone agent: connect Cal.com to NordTell
NordTell answers your phone with an AI agent. Connect Cal.com and the agent can book a time while the caller is still on the line. It offers only times Cal.com says are free, writes the booking into your calendar, and can move or cancel an existing booking when the caller asks.
What the agent can do with Cal.com
- Check the calendar first. The agent offers only times Cal.com reports as free. You choose how far ahead it looks: a day, a week or a month at a time.
- Book. It asks for the caller's name and the details you choose (email, phone number, notes) and sends them to Cal.com with the booking.
- Move and cancel. If you allow it, the agent finds the caller's booking by email or phone number and moves or cancels it. If more than one booking matches, it asks which one rather than guessing.
- Several calendars. Add more than one Cal.com event to the same agent, each with its own "when to book" rule.
- Your time zone. Times are booked and spoken in the time zone you set on the agent.

Set it up in five steps
- In NordTell, open your agent and go to Prompt and tools. Under Built-in tools, switch on Book appointments.
- Choose Connect a Cal.com calendar and pick your Cal.com region: US (api.cal.com), EU (api.cal.eu) or Self-hosted.
- Paste a Cal.com API key. You make one in your Cal.com settings.
- Press Load events and pick the event the agent should book.
- Choose what the agent collects from the caller and what it may do: check availability, move bookings, cancel bookings. Then test it in the browser with the Test button.

Does it work with Cal.com's EU region?
Yes. Pick EU when you connect, and NordTell talks to api.cal.eu. NordTell's own servers are in the EU.
Does it work with a self-hosted Cal.com?
Yes. Choose Self-hosted and enter your instance's address.
